David was born in Flushing, NY, in the borough of Queens. He is a retired New York City fireman (FDNY), which he served for 20 years. David raised his son on Long Island, where he opened a restaurant called The Landmark Cafe which had a successful run of 10 years until he and his partners sold it in 1997. He began his real estate career in 1977, which led him to open and broker a Coldwell Banker in NY, which he brought to #1 in Medford, Long Island. David began his next chapter of life when he moved to Las Vegas in 1997 and quickly became one of the top 5 realtors in Las Vegas, Summerlin, and Red Rock Country Club while working at Properties Plus and then Realty Executives. In 2007 he became the Corporate Broker of Realty ONE Group, where he helped transform the Summerlin Branch from 200 agents to 620 agents, making it the #1 branch in all of Las Vegas for over 34 consecutive months. That success catapulted him to the position of General Manager for the entire company in 2009.

In 2013 he served as the President of Las Vegas Realtors, and in 2016, he was NVAR President & Chair of the NAR Broker Involvement Council. After a great 5 years there, Dave Sr. decided to start his own company with his son, David Julius.

In 2015 David was inducted into the LVR Hall of Fame. In 2016 was Nevada Realtors, Realtor of the Year, and in 2017, he was LVR Nevada Realtor of the Year. In 2019 he served as National Association of Realtors Regional Vice President and also achieved Realtor Emirates Status. In 2020 he was elected to represent the Rocky Mountain Region on NRA’s board of Directors. In 2021 he was the Chair of Nevada State Legislation Committee. Currently, he serves as the Commissioner of Nevada.  At Urban Nest Realty, David focuses on agent success and training at our Summerlin Branch.
