  • A common issue for many people - limiting beliefs:

    • I don’t like how I look or sound on video

    • I am not good at video

    • It’s too difficult to learn - it’s too technical for me

  • Solutions

    • Set the intention that you will learn how to make videos and even edit and post them

    • Outsource (hire someone) the technical part (filming you, editing, posting, etc.)

  • Don’t outsource the actual creation of the content! This needs to be you speaking, sharing, and providing valuable content

  • Your goal is to connect with qualified clients who will get to know, like, and trust you through your video content.  

No Content Plan

  • Decide on Your Content Pillars

    • New Builds and Resale Home tours (get listing agent permission)

    • Neighborhoods/communities

    • Day in the life / behind the scenes 

    • Your passions/hobbies

    • Things to do in your area

    • Market updates

    • Educational content - how to buy and sell real estate, investing, financing, types of properties

    • You could decide to post specific / theme content on certain days 

  • Weekly

Inconsistent Posting

  • 2-3 videos posted 5 days per week is key!

  • Must schedule content creation on your calendar

  • Work it into your weekly schedule. For example, you are showing homes to buyers on Friday. What content can you film (B roll for a planned video, New Home tour, etc) before or after your showings?

  • Mindset: Always look for opportunities to grab a video that you can turn into a video short later!

  • Batching content. Block out a half day or two to record several videos. Edit them, save them as drafts on your selected platform(s), and post them later or on an upcoming day.

Your Action Plan

  • Decide if video content creation is for you. You must love it and always commit to learning and improving with it. If it’s not, no worries! Create your consistent action plan for your lead-chosen generation pillar(s)

  • Just start recording videos with your smartphone! Even if you don’t post them. Practice and doing it is the only way to mastery

  • Start with simple videos: talking heads, home tours, market updates, and things to do in your city and area. Don’t worry about fancy editing, B-rolls, etc., right now.
